I have the same dremel and I love it! The bigger ones are too heavy. Plus the minimum speed step for the big ones is 5 and that make serious gouges in the clay. The dremel you showed starts from speed step 1 and I usually use it on nr 2

I just started getting into clay earrings and youre so sweet for helping others out! Thanks for this video! Could you do a video on how to putting on jump rings really easily? I have the problem of breaking my pieces when I place jump rings on! :(

@@theslowhaus Ah thanks soo much! Some things I've tried are / questions I have are: 1.) Making my clay pieces thinner (but sometimes its hard to get the entire piece of clay to be one thickness 2.) I'm using 6mm jumprings - maybe I need a bigger one? What size you recommend? 3.) Are there specific jump ring closer pliers. & You're welcome! Excited to follow your journey, girl

Hi! Do you recommend using the dremel for sanding and polishing too? Or you prefer sanpaper? Thank you!
@sweethunnybeee4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this video. I hinted to my hubby that I wanted this dremel for my bday. Does your clay ever crack or crumble in the back? I am currently having that issue with my tiny hand held drill. Also, if it does crumble slightly, do you still use those pieces?

Thank you!! What size gold rings will fit through the holes? For the earring attachments
@theslowhaus4 жыл бұрын
Great question! For me, every size jump ring I have used has fit. If a jump ring doesn’t fit you can always adjust the drill bit size, most dremels come with a nice variety of bits!

@CME0164 жыл бұрын
@@kathrync1460 they are called collets... near all the dremel accessories in lowes. Or just ask someone while you're there would be your best bet in finding the right thing! They are the silver things that hold the drill bit or buffing wheel and come in the package with your dremel.

Thanks so much for your informative videos! I love your polymer clay and I love that they are matte and so smooth. Do you mainly use the Dremel for just earring holes or do you sand with it too? I've watched your sandpaper video and I'm wondering if you sand with sandpaper and then drill with the Dremel. I see many people buff with it and it leaves their polymer earrings shiny so should I just use it for holes if I like that matte look? Thanks in advance!
