How to Build Your Own Homemade Air Conditioner for a Cool and Comfortable Summer"
Peltier module air conditioner
A Peltier module air conditioner is a type of air conditioning system that uses the Peltier effect to provide cooling. The Peltier effect is a thermoelectric effect that occurs when an electrical current is passed through two different types of materials that are joined together, causing one side to heat up and the other side to cool down.
In a Peltier module air conditioner, one side of the Peltier module is placed in contact with the air to be cooled, while the other side is exposed to the outside environment. When an electrical current is passed through the module, the side in contact with the air to be cooled cools down, while the other side heats up. This creates a temperature difference that allows heat to be transferred from the air to be cooled to the outside environment, resulting in a cooling effect.
Peltier module air conditioners are typically small and portable, making them useful for cooling small spaces such as personal workstations or camping tents. However, they are less efficient than traditional air conditioning systems and may not be suitable for cooling larger spaces or for extended periods of time.

I made a simular system with around 1000W worth of peltier modules. For inside heat exchanger i used 3 triple fan water coolers for pc and for the outside a car radiator and double fan. The whole system is not effiecient and does not even cool a small bedroom.

@@serdar-ors Yes, the big car radiator went outside the room. Those 1000W were split into 3 bundled units each with 3 peltiers working at 12V 10A. Powered with 3 separate 30A 12V power supplies. Cooling Output was maybe comparable to a 250W mini split unit. These Peltier modules are not efficient at all. For efficient cooling stick to compressor operated units.

If you use Peltier TEC 12706, it use 12,7 Volt 6 Ampere = 76,2 Watt x 3 unit peltier = 228,6 Watt only for peltier, exclude power for fan and for pump. As far as i know, peltier efficiency now about only 10%, Compare with refrigerant compressor efficiency can above 25%

with running water inspired me to do something similar, but it’s a pity to drain the water into the sewer, so I created a slightly different design, without unnecessary loss of water. The video about such cooler is available on my channel. But it is difficult to fully understand (calculate) the efficiency of this device. I would be grateful if you could made a video about the efficiency of this device. 目

nothing about this drains water away - the reservoir is clearly shown, which circulates the water - no loss of water - it is only used to transport the heat to the water outside. Ideally this outside water then needs some way to be cooled also, run through a radiator and a fan. the mass of water acts like a heatsink but will eventually equalise and the system will lose cooling ability. the heat MUST be removed at least at some speed.

Depends on the temperature of the hot side. With a good peltier you might get around a 20°c difference. But remember the cooling is generally only going to be around 10% of the wattage of the peliter. So a 300W unit will only move around 30W of heat. So it's not really ideal for a situation like this. If it's a 300W unit it will provide around 100BTU/h of cooling. Your body produces between 250 and 400 BTU's of heat. So it's not enough to even offset the heat produced by your body. Let alone heat from your computer and that leaking in from outside.

buy an air conditioner , dont waste your time on this bullshit . i`m a thermodynamics engineer and i use thermoelectric coolers for different jobs . each 12715 can make max 450 BTU units of cooling , while generating more than 500 Btu of heat . your room requires no less than 9000 btu . you would need 20 units . each unit will consume more than 130 watts of power . 130 * 20 = 2600 watts of electricity . which is enough power to run a 3 hp air conditioner while your room required 1 hp . that can run on 1100 watts . + you can not get rid of the heat inside the water . the room will be hotter . and more humid than ever . forget it . dont waste your money . let him has his veiws on youtube . he is doing it to attract views while me and him know that it can not cool him down . ever .

@@FamiliOfficeDotCom more like 16x because its extremely inefficient PLUS the outside reservoir must be pumping through its own radiator and fan combo - or eventually that water reservoir (the mass of water determines the time this takes) will equalise in temperature and you will get no more cooling at all. infact you will get HEATING because the system is still adding energy.

I have used a 15 amp painter model inside it which runs at 180 watts and along with it there is also a fan and a water pump. How I calculated it was by simple formula: watt = apm * voltages. According to Quora typically, the power consumption of an AC fan mode ranges from 30-60 watts. So yes, the diy AC itself consumes more power than an AC fans.😂

This may work for a short period, but then the reservoir which circulates the water which is only used to transport the heat to the water outside will itself heat up. Ideally this outside water reservoir needs some way to be cooled also, such as run through a radiator and a fan combination. the mass of water acts like a heatsink but will eventually equalise and the system will lose cooling ability. the heat MUST be removed at least at some speed or the law of thermodynamics dictates it will all equalise and since you're continually pumping energy in, will actually HEAT the room/space you intend on cooling instead of cooling it.
