You can use chili powder and cayenne or ground dried chilies of your choice depending on your heat tolerance. Since he's using fresh garlic and onions he probably didn't include garlic and onion powder.
@brianadkins7977 ай бұрын
Just buy prepack chili mixes. Cumin, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne 🌶️ ( optional)
@wheresmymuffins7 ай бұрын
@@brianadkins797honestly not bad advice, it's how my family made chili for years. now though, instead of the dried powder mixes, I put a can of adobo chilies with a couple shots of cheap whisky, a dash of olive oil, and the juice of 1-2 limes in a blender and use it like a curry paste. you can also water it down a bit to make the mix thinner and marinate meat with it for tacos/fajitas/etc.

I've been cooking for a long time and while I haven't yet learned anything new from this channel, I can't help but binge the basics and take pleasure in not only the simplicity and wholesomeness of the host and recipes, but the idea that someone out there is actually using this info to start their journey cooking 🤙. Like, my first reaction was to comment on the lack of browned meat since it's being cooked in a crockpot but then i remembered that the benefit to using unseared meat in chili is you get a softer more velvety texture edit: didn't realize you mentioned the soft texture in the video and now i sound like a tool 💀😂🤦🏽♂️
