Simply Potatoes is the perfect middle ground. Not frozen. I've made hashbrowns by scratch and it's not even the grating or peeling that's the worst part, it's getting the starch out and drying them effectively.

I all so pre-cook some onion green or white nicely chopped. Make up a salsberry stake with add pepper and salt to your minced meat and some of your shredded potato cook your meat patties on one side of the oiled and buttered pan and the hash Browns on the other side mix some gravy mix in a saucepan when the meat patties and hash browns are done set them to one side and fry a couple of eggs in the preheated pan. When the eggs are done place the hash browns on a plate with the patties and top with the eggs and sauce
