My wife and I had a date breakfast every Saturday morning at this terrific little cafe. This date was an every week event. The restaurant offered what they called Stuffed Hash Browns. It was my favorite, and without fail, I ordered Stuffed Hash Browns. The owner had a heart attack and unfortunately passed away. Several cooks took over the cafe and changed the menu. They stopped offering Stuffed Hash Browns. I was done, and we stopped going to that cafe. You have taught me how to make the Stuffed Hash browns. I wish I had found this long ago, but I will get my grill hot and make my own stuffed Hash Browns. Thank you, they look delicious.

I'm another line cook with many hours over a flattop, I can think of a lot of variations for this but it doesn't really need them. It depends on what ingredients you have, what equipment you have, what you feel like making and your confidence in your skills. Don't be afraid to experiment. This would be awesome on a biscuit or waffle smothered in bacon or sausage gravy. One professional cook to another, you got mad skills. ✊👍✌️🖖

I've always wanted a full-size griddle in my home since I started working in kitchens... Super-jealous of your set-up! Just a couple notes: 1) PLEASE cross-section the final product!!! Everyone wants to see what it looks like in the center. 🤗🤤 2) Yeah, definitely let them rest until they're just about done steaming off their own heat. That should let the eggs cook through completely too, due to residual heat! 🥵

I can totally relate to your story. I was new in the food industry and was will to work my way up the chain starting as a dishwasher and helped prep food. one Friday night I walked in and the Chef called me on to the line. the flat top/ fry cook had bailed lol and I got my 1st shot. it was a sink or swim situation and I managed to stay a float lol. after that I became the friday/weekend fry cook and eventually worked my way to sauté/grill station, and eventually managing that kitchen.

That's almost the exact way every cook starts. When you look at famous chefs, like Wolfgang Puck, they started doing a bunch of bullshit and not even cooking. Same happened for me. I started busing tables and doing random shit until I ended up becoming one of the saute cooks. That's the restaurant business

I do something similar, but not quite in the same vein. I make the Hashbrowns first, then the omelette. While the omelette finishes, I put the Hash brown over top, and flip it onto a plate. The result is an unfolded omelette resting on top of a hash brown. You get that crispy saltiness combined with the soft fluffiness, and you can cut it like a pie for serving others.

I was until you said kraft singles.

Yeah... it's NOT cheese. Kraft calls it cheese, but it's not. It just isn't.

Don't knock it till you try it, bet you didn't turn your nose up at kraft singles when your momma threw it on grilled cheese when you were a kid

@SavorSanAntonio has a restaurant and sells fake cheese. What else does he sell that its fake besides himself? LOSER selling fake food.
@moehoward015 ай бұрын
@@SavorSanAntonio I have tried it.

I feel like I am getting ready for skiing. That is like the breakfast you always have in the northeast before hitting the mountain on a cold day. Thank you for sharing it, very cool. Though I make a more traditional french omelet, this is a good weekend one that is set up for a long day of sports.

Big NO on Kraft singles; not real cheese.

The way you use that spatula, you for sure worked cooking breakfast. It’s a skill so few know about. You’ll never lose those skills.

Thank you for inspiring us. My husband and I just purchased a Weber griddle. Because of you and the Waltwins our first meal was hashbrown omelets. They were great. Thank you!

Great recipe and definitely seem like a cool guy to just hangout with. That's what made me keep watching more than anything. I've made it a couple times verbatim, but today I'm using spam not ham, since I had some in the cabinet..lol
