I'm from South Eastern Kentucky, Moms family made fried some great Apple pies, boy those were great! All that South Eastern Kentucky food was so good, I don't think there was any better food on the planet. Stack cakes, hot stuff, pinto and green beans, and Leather Britches beans, homemade hominy, beef and cabbage, banana pudding, it goes on and on. I miss it, about all my aunts and uncles are gone now, moms' gone, Dad is 92 years old, a lot of my cousins are gone, I'm lonely, I came from a huge family, but I just had a sister, but my childhood was wonderful!
