Nice! The best food is usually in the most unlikely places. We found an excellent fried chicken served in a rest stop convenience store and people from my office in San Francisco, all talked about it. 3000 restaurants in San Francisco, at the time, and they loved chicken.

Joshua My grandmother taught me to mix the fat and flour together with my fingers, you’re looking for about a pea sized lumps or smaller. Keep a bowl of ice water nearby the warmer your hands are the faster the fat will melt and you don’t want it to melt at all. But keep your hands dry too. And when you roll it out try not to work it to much. Sorry I don’t remember the ratio

Or course the franchisees would be bound to nondisclosure agreements for her recipe, but I see $$$ opportunity and money 💰 in the family's future if they expand nationwide. She could even train franchise owners in her basement, lol. I don't think a huge location would be needed? Mom's Baked pies could be the next Dunkin Donuts??? Russians, Dominicans, Brazilians , Chileans , Argentines have it similar , only difference the filling ain’t sweet. In Brazil they do not flatten the dough. It’s rather stretched. Thin , crispy. Russians tend to make it oily. Latinos do the half moon shape as show on small sized. In São Paulo , Brazil, every farmer’s market sustains at least three stands , the shape is rectangular, larger , and it is best served piping hot. Fillings vary.... Heart of palms Cheese Ground meat Chicken brats minced with cheese Dry cod fish. Japanese descendants 2nd and 3rd generations mostly ) master the art of the dough making, which is kept a secret that is hard to crack. They call them Pastel.
