Q.... aftermakung Yuba... do we just drink the leftover milk ??) And how long to boil before starting to make the Yuba please And thank you for sharing your recipe 😊... and method . Weare also blessed to have a soy bean Farm about ¹5 minutes away from us... we order NON GMO 50 lb bag every year sometime two years. Only 38$.. I make yogurt and soy milk never knew I can make YUBA also... I recently learned we love this by product also... I wonder.. after making YUBA can you also make TOFU ?? Or does it change the curd .. 🤷♀️
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe52483 жыл бұрын
You must cook until boiling but be careful don't let it boil over your pot, and of course if leftover from making Yuba you make a tofu...Thank you for your interests in my recipes

Thanks for the video, I'm wondering why you remove the soybean hullls wouldn't they just end up with the rest of the pulp?
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe52487 ай бұрын
We do remove the soybean hulls because of the textures and flavours. Thank you so much for your interest in my product

Nothing else is needed to form the skins just the strained bean milk and a steamer is that correct?
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe52483 жыл бұрын
Hello and thanks for your question. Yes, basically that is all. The milk needs to be heated thoroughly and to boiling; stir frequently. Good luck and let me know how it turns out!

What’s the point in removing the hulls, if you then stick it all in the blender🤷♀️
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe524810 ай бұрын
If you blender with the hull you can get a little milk and the milk that you got has a bad smell like sour

Blender the beans? Or just blend the beans?
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe52482 жыл бұрын
Hello and thanks for your comment. In order to make soy milk, you must place the beans (after soaked and dehulled) in a blender with water to get the milk. We blend the beans once, then again the pulp from that first blending. Good luck!

How long does a skin take to form when you start the steaming?
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe52483 жыл бұрын
Just about three to five minutes if your want it to become thicker you can let longer than that. Thank you for asking!

Can these be rehydrated to use for wraps?
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe52482 жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks for your comment. Yes, you can, but they need to be the right size, and also a bit thicker, in order to use as a wrap. You can rehydrate them just by placing them in a towel wetted with warm water...just place between, and keep moist until use.

Do they peel off easily when you get them from the drying rack or some pieces get stucked? I remember experimenting w dried rice wrappers and followed a KZbin tutorial the dried pieces won't come off that easy we ended up scraping them crumbling the whole thing.
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe52482 жыл бұрын
Hello and thanks for your question. Yes, if they dry completely on the sticks, they will not come away easily. I generally take them off the sticks after only 5 or 10 minutes, while they are still moist, and then I lay them out on a rack. I also turn them on the rack, so that they do not become stuck to it. Good luck! It is definitely worth the effort.

A very tedious and meticulous process, the end product look so fragile and when dried, I wonder how you’re gonna use them to make a wrapper.
@nokskitchenVeganrecipe52487 ай бұрын
Yes, it is not so easy. But when it's to be used as a wrap you can't fold it. Rather you have to dry it as big as possible. Then when you want to use it, you will moisten it in hot water just for a few seconds. Thanks and good luck!
