I am usually using a bowl called Sahlar mini, it is made in Hungary, I think they function very well with foil, even when I smoke alone. It usually lasts longer than an hour though. The lotus fits on it by the way, so if you guys are interested in some special bowls to expand your collection, please give some feedback about it. Btw I always pack it the way you packed the second bowl in the video, even though this is phunnel style.

Great video, I have two out of the three set ups! 100% on the packing method. My only suggestion would've been. How long would the session last for each set up and how many coals would be ideal with each set up. Once again great video.

If i have that secund style bowl, i think it is named standard or egyptian and doesnt have a middle hole , just around middle point it has 4 holes, how do i Pack it? Just put the tobacco and make it fluffy?

I am a little bit confused.From what i ve learned during my job experience, is that the bowl should not be filled to the point that the tobacco touches the Kalout or the alluminum foil.Its very interesting because many people out there pack the bowls otherwise,until the very top lets say.Which are the diffirences bettween these 2 options?Am i packing wrong? Also,sometimes i notice that during my session,the flavours fade dramatically,with the bottom layer of tobacco left unburned and the top one burned.What could possibly went wrong to that pack?I always try to fluff pack and sometimes i even cut the tobacco.But even though i execute the same techniques,with the same tools,there are times that the session doesnt reach its full potential.I am an Alfakher user. PS.I love your videos.

You are doing everything right! But for each tobacco brand there are ways of 0acking it properly. We found that Al Fakher is best when it slightly touches foil or Lotus. As far as the bottom part not being fully utilized, it is a problem of hear management. If you apply too many charcoals and start smoking right away the bowl will not heat properly. What you want to do is put some charcoals on top I would say 3, but depends on the size of the bowl. Then you want to leave it for at least 3-4 minutes. After this you cam start your session and approximately 15 minutes after take 1 charcoal off so that it receives less heat. Then you should be good 👍👍

@@mojohookahlounge Yeah it pretty much works that way.I dont cut the tobacco,fluff pack till the point it slightly touches the Kaloud,and smokes really good.But i noticed two more things:When i used my Oblako bowl(glazed and the small-sized one) things get trickier when it comes to heat.I start it with 3 coals,but it starts smoking really fast around at the 3rd or 4th minute.After removing the extra coal,i must be very aware of the heat and always check the bowl way too often(and even remove one more extra coal,ending up smoking with one,and then later on add the second coal again).It performs well but this makes the session kinda tiring,having to mess around with the heat all the time.I mostly like to use an egyptian bowl type,which has 6 holes and is flat at the bottom(i think its from russia).I am not sure though if this bowl is the best fitting for AF,when it comes for juice maintance during the session.Lastly i tried today a shisha charcowl bowl with chimney,with an egyptian bowl,but the session was a total failure for me,because i had to check the heat all the time,and the bowl was either overheated and making much smoke,or underheated with some taste and poor smoke output.The safer option is always my samsaris,but i dont like it that much.Hookah is such an art,way too many things to consider.

Can you make a full advanced guide on packing different types of tobaccos with different bowl types and proper heat management with and without hmd? I know its too much to ask but that guide would be the most useful for everyone. Also, I sometimes don't get any taste from the tobacco, or loses its taste shortly (not burning, bowl just comes to an end lol) Thanks!

Hmm... Samsaris is silicone with glass. Regular traditional bowls are made of clay. Different materials give different heat absorption capaxity:)

Not really, there some flavors which are super juicy and people like to get rid of extra juice if they use turkish style bowl.

I have tried smoking with Lotus 3-4 times in a lounge and my experience was not good. In my case the smoke was very heavy, extremely hot and I couldn't smoke the hookah. I could see that they had only 2 coals in the lotus every time, so it wasn't that they were overdoing it with the coal... Since I haven't been to any other place that uses lotus, my question is if this is how a lotus HMD usually smokes ? Will it always give that "heavy" smoking session ?

It definitely depends on how y pop u pack the bowl. You can make it lighter by pressing the tobacco in side of the bowl. 🙂

I’ve been told to put the tobacco in a paper towel and squeeze out the juice before putting it in the bowl. Would you not recommend that?

Try to avoid doing that. You'll be drying out the glycerin and flavouring that is needed to make your Shisha smoke optimally. the only time I ever do a gentle drying on a paper towel is when I use a juicy tobacco with a Turkish/Egyptian style bowl. This is to stop too much juice going down the stem which can ruin your session. However a molasses catcher will fix that issue right up

Hey bro. I just got sold one, and 2 of the pipes have ball bearing (these are the same models of pipe) and my other 2 pipes are different ones and these do not have ball bearings? And so i was just wondering if you know about whether or not you need ball bearings for the pipes themselves?

You mean the pipes where the hose goes? There should be only 1 which doesn't have bearing usually because when you pull, air will come from the other pipes which don't have bearings. You must have 1 opened because you can blow in the hose when needed.

I use aluminum foil, the problem i am having is that my hookah is starting of with a bad burny taste, it gets a little better later when heated but still not the taste i want to achieve. i use a double layered foil, i pinch it well enough but i guess it also has to do with the quality of the tobacco. any suggestions ?

Yes its matter about tobacco some tobacco take less heat some burn fast. Don't smoke until the bowl heated. Hope it helps

In most cases we use 2 full charcoals and about a quarter of a charcoal to supplement. Then we take off the small charcoal 😊

I would not suggest that, since Egyptian bowls have specific shape to them. Diameter wise, it would fit, but because it is so shallow the output might not be that great! Hope that helps:)
