Little bit about them…
Don Bowl:
Hand made from start to finish and coming in 4 distinct styles, made in Russia. Specifically we have in the video «The Classic»: the holes are significantly more even and allow a greater air distribution and they allow for smooth airflow, even heating, and are more durable than the standard bowl. With it's awesome craftsmanship the bowl doesn't heat to ridiculous temperatures when you're trying to remove it from the stem so you don't worry about burning hands so often!
Upgrade bowl:
Upgrade Form Hookah bowl also made in Russia since 2012. The design of the bowls are relevant and recognizable. The bowls made of earthenware after firing acquire strength and sand color. It is not necessary to be a professional to make a nice hookah on such a bowl, because the thickness and properties of the material prevent the burning of tobacco, and evenly warming up ensures a lot of thick steam. Nowadays, the Upgrade Form bowls are the most popular bowls that are deservedly respected by amateurs and professionals.

Awesome comparison video! I have the Don bowl myself and I love it! Btw not sure if ya'll know did you guys know that Hookah John is finally opening up a lounge here in southern California? I heard its still in the process with the construction/renovation. I heard he's going to have German and Russian pipes. What do yall think??

My question(s) is/are more in regards to coals. I have not been in the hookah game for 8 years had just started with quick lights when I was smoking a hookah last time. I am just curious if there are any good coals that are of the quality of coconut coals that are not made from coconut. I am allergic to coconut and I tried coconut coals once; which resulted in hives and an itchy mouth. So...I figured that I would ask since I am researching and looking at ways to get back into smoking a hookah.

From a chemistry standpoint, i wouldn't think there would be a problem as coconut charcoals have undergone a complete chemical change from coconut form to charcoal form. there simply isn't any coconut left, if there were, you would smell it burning. Are you sure it's really the coals? Afterall it's only the heat you should be getting of them not any coconut fumes. Exoticas or Zambookah coals might be a replacement that are not coconut based

It's hard to find a good set up for under $200. But you still can 🙂. Just Kaloud Lotus Plus cost $50. Will try to look around and see what we can find for that price...

Just try and find something of a “middle class” brand shisha like Amy Deluxe/Amir, Aladdin or if ur more into the traditional and loud shishas Khalil Mamoon or El nefes. I like Amy deluxe shishas a lot, especially the Amir line. They deliver it with hose and bowl, but thats usually a chimney bowl. The newest shishas of the Amir line are delivered with a glass bowl and a heat management system like lotus tho. I use it myself and its pretty good, but id recommend using it for lighter tabaccos like Starbuzz and stuff. Still u can probably find a good quality Amy or Aladdin for about 100-120 bucks and then buy a Lotus+ with a HJ bowl or something.

try a cloud stick hookah with a lotus hmd and maybe a hookah john harmony or similar bowl. should fit around 200. my brother has had his cloud stick for a little while and it’s really good for a budget hookah.
