Is making matcha latte with diary milk more healthy than oatmilk
@cde30033 ай бұрын
For anyone who doesn't want to wait 14 days for the premier to come out, here's how to make a matcha latte. 1. Whisk 1 tsp matcha with 2 oz hot water. 2. Add sweetener to taste. 3. Froth 6 oz milk (dairy or non-dairy). 4. Pour milk into matcha mixture. Boom, you're done.

Just a tip for the viewers-- if you want the frothy affect for your plant-based milks, make sure it says 'barista version' or something with the name 'barista' as it is specifically made for things like this. It froths much easier than the other non-barista plant based milks.

Thanks Marc for the great video! 😊I’m curious about the barista-grade matcha you use at Ooika. It seems many cafés opt for culinary-grade matcha or even powdered green tea -- likely to keep costs down, since the subtleties of high-quality matcha often get lost when mixed with milk? At least with culinary-grade or green tea, they can guarantee one flavour: bitterness! 🤣 What characteristics would you recommend looking for in a barista matcha for lattes? My trick so far has just been to increase the amount of matcha I add....

@@WorldOfEmm Hi Emm, for lattes and mixed drinks, the matcha should (imo) have more intensity, roasting notes and bitterness to stand up to milks etc. Similar to stronger and intense coffee used for espresso lattes vs a more subtle and soft single origin coffee for pour over (without milk.) But it should still be fresh, bright and sweet - which may be lacking in some cheaper matcha blends cafes may use

@@Ooika Thx Marc, really appreciate your response ☺Which step in the production process contributes to the roasty notes though? Or is the roasty flavour due to the use of older leaves?

🙌🏻 i always think matcha latte no need any sweetener. Milk itself already has natural sugar 😋
