This Indian restaurant style base gravy (*BIR) will give you the consistency you look for in a restaurant style dish. Now you can all replicate one of your favourite curry's with this really simple, easy to make recipe . It creates texture to your dish and is the perfect way to thicken up your curry and really useful if you like dishes such as Madras, Korma, Tikka Masala, etc.

Ingredients
2 tablespoon garlic ginger paste
7--8 medium sliced onions
3 large carrots
1 green pepper
7 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 bayleafs
2 cinnamon sticks
4--5 green cardamons
5 cloves
2 black cardamons
Teaspoon coriander seeds
5 tablespoons of tomato puree
Teaspoon of turmeric powder
Heap teaspoon of coriander powder
Teaspoon of cumin powder
Teaspoon of garam masala
Teaspoon of Kashmiri red chilli powder
This gravy is made in a 4 litre pot and can serve up 8---10 curry's easily
