I grew up on a potato farm and believe me the potatoes don't just magic themselves onto any conveyor belts LOL. Lots of labor involved but damn I miss it. We actually did give our cast off potatoes that were not rotten to a local farmer who raised pigs and in return he would do welding and spraying for my Dad. Uncle Sam never saw a dime of revenue off those transactions! Great video, thanks.

Great video, VF! There are also a handful of trailers that can empty directly into the washer and sorter too as they have an auger pipe option, specifically the one I've been using recently is the Lizard NS 900 H by AgroSketch. Not sure how realistic that really is with potatoes and a pipe unload but it certainly works in the game and can make things a little easier if space for conveyers is limited. I also checked the ITRunner for Silos by DD ModPassion a while back which has a generic refillable silo you can put potatoes in that did also empty into the washer at the time too!

The video actaully took twice as long to make because I got confused by the description of the pallet mod saying "Potatoes of premium quality will be sold for 50% more than if sold from a trailer". Once I worked out that it was released before the potato sorter I realised it wasn't a bug and I need to update it to include the washed and sorted potatoes.

It's perfectly possible to tip washed spuds into the sorter directly from a trailer. I did it in year one on Sussex farms. From the second year on however I switched to a telehandler for everything and it's worked really well.

Did you have to repeatedly tip them on from the trailer? The reason I setup the belt was so that I could just tip into a pile and the belt would keep picking them up.

@@VirtualFarmer It only takes 4,000 ltrs so obviously you can't do a whole trailer at a time. I like to think what a real life farmer would do and there was a lot of money tied up in those belts. So they are more likely to use what they already have, telehandlers and trailers. Also FS19 specific and I can't remember what map it was now but one map I couldn't off load washed spuds to the ground.

Nice bit of tweaking to the code, any chance you could paste the new line in to the description? I guess you could do the same for carrots and onions with the boxing up

Hello, a query, from the premium potato machine they come out but it does not give me the pallet option, it only takes them out in bags, what could it be? The other thing, in the list of sales prices, only normal potatoes and washed potatoes have a price, but I don't see any price ($) for premium potatoes, as I don't have anywhere to deliver them, why is that? Or can I deliver the same? or how to fix it? Greetings bro!

The part about changing script so you could get more money by putting potatoes into pallets doesnt work anymore because by changing script the mod doesnt work anymore.

While the script change shouldn't cause an issue on the base game maps, since recording this I have discovered a small issue with a couple of mod maps and other mods and I need to post an update for the script change.

Unfortunately not, but you could edit the pallet boxes in the same way to give you a high price if you sold them from them.

Potato washer and sorter wipes out all selling points on maps unfortunatelly.

Never had this issue using these on multiple maps. It sounds like they maybe conflicting another mod you have enabled.

@@VirtualFarmer so I removed all the mods temporarily leaving those necessary for these mods and they still bugged as hell - makes the screen spinning and blocking me from going into menu. I give up with them. I also looked at lua and it is somewhat too short I think. These mods generate also a lot of errors in the log.

That's really odd. Is this on one of the base game maps? And you're only enabling Global Company and the potato washer and sorter? (Might need a water Trailer too I think)

@@VirtualFarmer Yes, only Global company and these two potato mods - washer and sorter. I tested it on no man's land - selling point removed from the map, from menu too - there is only my silo listed and no selling points. On spectacle island selling points remain but on both maps when I try to place the washer and move the mouse or WSAD world is spinning like crazy randomly barerly reacting to my keys & mouse - ESC is disabled so I have to place washer somewhere - and then I cannot ESC again to menu (spinning is all the time). So ALT+F4 - only option to end this mess. I have tons of other mods and they work just fine, there is only problem with those two (whether they are alone with GC or with other mods).
