@@usernamehandle ghee comes from butter. You can’t cook popcorn in butter as the butter would burn. You CAN cook popcorn in clarified butter or ghee. It’s yummy

Silly me, I thought I'd have to wait to try this until I had an Instant Pot glass lid! I used to make popcorn all the time in an electric skillet, so this idea looks great! Gotta taste better than the microwave stuff. Thank you for the video!

This is exactly how we do it too! Amazingly light and fluffy! I always add some salt right away to the oil and a sprinkling of paprika, it seems to give the popcorn a bit of a gold hue and a Smokey taste! Thanks for the video, really great 😊

SO, I actually did something similar to that some years ago. My favorite Thai food restaurant had garlic spare ribs that were To-Die-For perfection. I ordered a side of them to-go, took them home... nuked them the next day after nuking a bag of popcorn (this was before the IP existed), and... Being lazy, I put my reheated spare ribs into my bowl of popcorn, allowing the popcorn to soak of some of the juices and made it all... richly flavorful. BEST popcorn experience... EVER. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately it didn’t work for me. After a few kernels popped, the rest just burned without popping. I made a replacement batch on the stovetop!

I would imagine this happens a lot. The kernels need to be agitated or shaken somehow as they’re popping to keep that from happening. I recommend just doing the same with a skillet and lid on the stove top so you can do just that 😊

Peanut oil is my favorite, but I could see doing a blend with coconut oil. I also use more oil, period. I use an old anodized aluminum omelet pan and the biggest lid I have. Don't know if I would want to pop in my Instant Pot, but if it was all I had to cook on. . . .

yes I think that it would work well! it has a higher smoke point than coconut oil.

I have the Emeril pot and... same issue. I'm now wondering if it's because I put the popcorn in before turning it on... instead of waiting for it to get hot first. She did say to wait for it to get hot, first... and I've never done that. I guess I'll have to try it again.

I have the Emeril Legasse PAF and my popcorn just-plain Will. Not. Pop. All I get is burnt kernels. lechatbotte I always set my timer to five minutes after the first couple of kernels pop because it can feel like it takes forever to start popping but it will pop. When I set the timer for five minutes it will start popping after two or three minutes have gone by

That is not using instant pot, that is just using instant pot and as regular pot. Just do it on the stove it does the same.

Some people don’t have a big enough pot for the stove (like me). I live in a small home and have to stay pretty pared down in the kitchen. When I need to make something big, I just use the IP sauté function.

365 Days of Slow and Pressure Cooking yes. I have an air popper but the popped kernels go all over and some Un popped kernels pop in the bowl. I am going to try a paper bag. The other thing with air popped is that you cannot flavor it. Oh well. I tried at least. Thank you for the video. 🌞🌞🌞

We cooked it in a saucepan on the stove. Put in some vegetable oil, when hot put in a little bit of TNT popcorn, start shaking it with lid partly on. The popcorn pushes the lid up and the popping sound is fun. Put in a bowl with melted butter and salt. So delicious! I think that was the first thing I learned to cook when young.
