You're the first rain cinematography tutorial I've watched that included a real demonstration of what it might look like (i.e. 0:06 and 5:24). They're only a few seconds long but they look awesome. Thanks for the help.

Megan whatsittoya hey thanks for watching! Yeah, you can see a little bit longer takes with the rain in this short film we made. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmKWZmx-ermDq7c

HOw to make a scene that rain is falling on my face? Can I use the same construction at home? Using maybe greenbox?
@chadwin5 жыл бұрын
Yes, you could do the same or a similar setup to have the rain actually fall on a character. You'll just need to position your camera so it doesn't get wet. Use a telephoto lens.

This is a great video. One of the easiest, cheapest and yet very effective. However, as a Filmmaker who knows how important details are you should have shot the Back light separately as a B-Roll and then cut it in when/where you made reference to it at 4:52

Hey everyone I just made a "how to make it rain tutorial" and I feel like no one has ever covered the technique, yet it is so easy to do and it's pretty effective I also show how to make a sweet blood splatter effect with the same trick, you can take this effect absolutely anywhere with you and there is no set up involved, it would certainly help out a lot of people looking for some great realistic rain effects in their film and photography projects! If anyone has time to see it I feel like it would really help you out if you wanted to pull off a realistic rain effect with little effort!
