Thank you so much! You know a lot about Jens Lead history! By 1997, he was using PME40X as a distortion pedal. And he replaced it with JD10 from 1998. I think he may have used the Polysix & JD-10 on the Destiny recordings.

What is a alternative to the sine wave since my synth does not do pulse width modulation? As well what how are you producing the feedback like sound?
@kerederoom78 Жыл бұрын
I think it would be possible to use a clean organ waveform instead of a sine wave. For the feedback sound, I used an octave lower sound source linked to the modulation, and I used LFO.

Excellent video!!! Would you happen to know how to achieve a similar sound in a JV-1080? I’m trying to follow your instructions but the values are different. Any input is greatly appreciated! Keep up the great work!
@kerederoom783 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes, after 20 years of research, I have figured out how to make a Jens lead with JV1080,but I can't show it to the public for some reasons, sorry. In this video I have tried to create a tone that is as close as possible to a real Jens lead. For a hint about the most important element, the oscillator, I suggest you refer to a clean organ sound. As for the second most important aspect, the distortion effect, it is still difficult for me to reproduce the characteristics of the Morley JD10.So you can get real JD10 on eBay.
@AncestorGabo3 жыл бұрын
@@kerederoom78 Thank you for your prompt reply! I already own a JD-10, so that part is covered. Since i already will give the distortion effect externally with the morley, should i assign phaser as the main effect for the patch? Also, how would i be able to make the screech sound in JV1080? Thanks again for the amazing work, you should definetely make a video on the lead sculpting in the JV1080, even if it is from patreon or something like that :D
@kerederoom783 жыл бұрын
@@AncestorGabo You’re welcome! In this video I used the phaser built-in effector, but that's not necessarily necessary, because a slight detuning of the two oscillators will give you the full swell effect typical of Jens lead. I have already sold my JV1080 and have an INTEGRA-7 instead. Maybe one day I’ll make a tutorial video of Jens lead on INTEGRA-7.

Do you know if it's possible to replicate this lead on a Roland Juno DS?
@kerederoom782 жыл бұрын
It is difficult to make a real Jens lead with the Juno DS, but it is possible to make a similar tone. Look for a waveform in Juno DS that is similar to the one used in this video. Don’t forget to use a distortion pedal instead of internal fx. Ultimately, it is up to your hearing.

i want this sound in my ax edge !! O_O
@kerederoom784 жыл бұрын
AX-Edge and FANTOM have almost similar sound source formats, so I think you can create the tone for this video with your AX-Edge!

Hey could you replicate It on a Roland FA Series, It doesn´t have so many IFX :( ( I couldn't copy all configuration)
@kerederoom783 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I've never used the FA series, so I don't know the details But ultimately, in a Jens lead, a high quality distortion effect is all that is needed. I think you can create a tone similar to this video with the oscillators in the FA. Or try a guitar distortion pedal.

Thank you so much! Sorry, I don't have a Karma, but you can apply the FANTOM methods of tone creation such as ADSR, LFO, Key Follow, etc. to the Karma. First, find a basic waveform in Karma's PCM libraries.And most importantly, you should choose the proper distortion effect.
