How to Make Jigs - Making Shakey Head Jigs with DoIt Molds

Shakey Head Jigs are a great finesse bait, but the larger sized heads can also be used in a more power finesse style. Shakey Head Jigs can have a number of different styles of soft plastic baits attached to it. These shakey head that I am making in this video are super versatile, and I've already caught some fish on them!

Do they make a mold for wide gap hooks?

What hooks are those.. I looked at a few molds but they call for Gamagatsu hooks.. not a big fan of the smaller barbs on the Gamagatsu.. have few lost fish due to those..

ALSO a fan of smaller gauge wire hooks.. I've seen some Shakey heads with sickle hooks some with EWG hooks.. Do you have a preference?

I haven’t had issues with these hooks. They’ve done well for me. These hooks are the gamakatsu hooks the mold calls for.

You’ll need to do your research on the sickle Style hooks. Some are very light worr

How about their Rodney Howell Magnum Shakey Head mold. It doesn’t use a screw lock. Is that a mold you have?
