This VST is amazing. Till now I've only used sample kicks and sometimes have spent so much time looking for a the right kick sample never finding exactly what I wanted. With this VST I always get what I want for a kick.

Yea, this plugger is the bombay. The only thing that I don't really like about it is the preset saving management. It's...a bit antiquated and you can't choose the location on the hard drive. I mean, since where is saving presets on the system drive a smart thing when a system crashed hard? I hope they patch that because it sucks. Since I have so many kicks that sound great, I take the best kicks and copy them to one folder, that way I don't mess with the original file structure. Same with clicks and such. Then when I load a sample, I just hit the left right to go through all the files in that directory. I hope they make another Kick plugin that makes up the top and body layer sound of the kick. That way, the kick is completely synthesized where no samples are used. I guess I could just load up Operator or FM8...but I want a dedicated plugin specifically for tailoring the other two layers. Kick 3?

Reid, How do u process and layer your snares n claps.

method i learned from talking to a *big* edm producer-- for more punchy snares in genres w a "dubstep sound" 1. use a tom maker/generator (kick 2 could be used like this). make a tom with a "doong!" sound. 2. compress the shit out of it. 3. layer a sine or triangle wave, bandpassed to only hear 200-300 Hz. you can saturate or compress for tone on this before the EQ to get more harmonics. 4. layer a skin/top. this can be anything from organic snares, edm snares, clap sound, door slams, glass crack etc. EQ to fit, you want to emphasize the top end, though, to get a snappy sound. Let the body be in the Tom/Sine wave combo. 5. Send them to a buss, saturate to taste, then use a TRANSIENT SHAPER lastly in the chain. Bam!

In c drive in program files creation a folder vst plugins... Download kick 2 and the license.. Copy it there.. Restart ableton.. It should work
