KIRBY FRENCH MACAROON INGREDIENTS:
3 Egg Whites
¼ cup white sugar
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 cup almond flour

omg, I just got a huge wave of nostalgia from that intro! I remember how this was the first video I watched on this channel and I got hooked because I loved Kirby lol. the Nerdy Nummies series was my favorite, it was so darn cute! I know it's weird to be nostalgic over a KZbin channel, but honestly, it really was a big part of my childhood. it's kinda crazy to see how much this channel has changed now.

So i've been making this recipe for a few years now, and Macaroons are annoying to make until you get them right..so here are a a few quick tips: 1) To be honest, the eggs don't have to be room temp. I have had better experience straight out of the fridge 2) First separate your egg whites one by one into a bowl, pouring the egg whites into your mixing bowl in between each. This way, if you accidentally get a bit of yolk into your bowl, you don't waste 3 egg whites 3) Use gel food coloring instead of liquid. It may be a little more expensive, but liquid messes up your macaroons. 4) The batter in her video was a little bit too runny, and it was the reason why the feat (lil fluff things on the side) were not as high. It has to be rather thick actually 5) These things are really sweet on their own, so the less sweet frosting is definitely necessary. 6) The egg whites have to be at a stage where you can hold the bowl upside down over your head and get no meringue on your head. This recipe is my favorite, and I hope those tips helped you even a little bit!

+Brenna Hawkins There is no going back if it's too thin. I've tried re whipping it, but it cracks. If it's too thick, just fold it a few more times.

Nicole De La Cruz Macarons are the french cookies Ro is making in the video. Macaroons are little coconut pastries (at least the coconut ones are the ones I've had, I know there are other varieties of macaroons in other parts of the world), definitely not the macarons being baked here. Quick tip-- If you want to make these cookies but maybe not Kirby style they also work for baby showers!!!!!! Dye them blue or pink (depending on the gender) or maybe half of both if the mom is waiting until the child is born. You can then use a frosting of your choice to put little balloons on the top or if you're a good decorator make it more detailed! Happy Baking

+Alyssa Smith Macaroons are tiny little pieces of balled up cake that have coconut and almond stuff in it. it's more popular in the UK, Hawaii, and tiny small islands in the Western Hemisphere. It's still hard to find in those areas and EXTREMELY hard to find in local super stores. No one eats this crap anymore. Macarons are 2 shell like cookies with a creamy or jelly like filling with an assortment of flavours and are French. They're typically bigger, less dense, and aren't the same basic flavour and sweet instead of sour and tangy. They are more popular world wide and most big stores have them. We all know what these look like and you don't have a soul if you hate every single possible flavour.

because most people don't know there is a difference. Macaroons, american macaroons, are delicious too, but french macarons are something completely different. French macarons have different flavours depending on the filling, american macaroons are good or not depending on the one who bakes them (I tried them and they came out super gross, but yeah...).

I think Ro watched 'Entertaining with Beth's fool proof French Macaron' video. It has 6 tips in it and she's kinda saying the same stuff. It's an awesome tip video but the Beth lady doesn't show you step by step like Ro is. So personally, I prefer this video and damn, you make it look easy! Oh and here in the UK, almond flour/meal is called 'Ground Almonds.'

what I usually do is I keep a larger bowl and a smaller bowl. I separate the egg white from egg yolk into the small bowl and if it succeeded, I put the egg white into the large bowl. if not, it goes with the egg yolks. I just repeat this

The lotus flowers are from the Percy Jackson movies, and while Rick did sell them the rights to make the movie, he was not in control of anything in the movie, and it turned out to be a disaster. It was absolutely nothing like the book. Riordan himself refuses to watch them. They are horrible movies, and if Ro were to do something from the REAL Percy Jackson, she would do blue cookies. The movies are a disgrace to the Percy Jackson fandom, and if you go by what is in the movies, you are NOT a true Percy Jackson fan.
