Omg I’m so angry at YT for not showing me this video a year ago when I spent HOURS searching! I was so disappointed with my village pond last year that I tossed it. Your tutorial is great and I can’t wait to get started on a new pond. Thank you so much!

Hey! So I just wanted to thank you for this video. Long story short... I volunteered to create the annual gingerbread house at work and I want to incorporate scenery/backdrop. I've watched a lot of videos on building scenes/dioramas as well as the special affects that come with it. I can't believe its taken me this long to see what I've been missing! What I'm trying to say is that your video really stands out from start to finish. It really helped me.

Thank you for this ! I would like to know how do you properly do a frozen lake? like the ice effect on the top ? :)

I’m sure you could find some tutorials online. I’ve never done it but I understand the concept. Pour a bit of the resin on a non-stick surface. Parchment paper can work. When it cures break it apart and add it on top of the lakes effects while it’s curing. It’ll glue to itself and get the effect you’re after. Add snow effects on later if you want.

Can i make this water without the clay edge? For a catan board :) one hexagon needs to be all water without the lake edge
@HobbySauce3 жыл бұрын
The clay edge keeps it from going over. If you have a hex piece I would probably *just* apply the gloss modge podge after painting. Itll give the glossy appearance with little depth. If you still want the depth you’ll need to put up removable barriers around it before you pour, but itll sit higher than your other hexes.
