Very interested in seeing alternate ways to make letters with curves like "B", "P", "R" along with the others you mentioned.

This is great Daryl - thanks for making it! I've tried making signs for my MOCs in the past and always struggled a bit. This video will get me started. Having said that, I'm really looking forward to your next video regarding better looking letters!

Perfect Daryl, much more useful than random stickers. And bricks don't pop off. Will do an experimental sign for my city Lego store. And we'll go from there! Thank you for sharing this building technique. Stay safe!

I’ve always loved LEGO signs and when I started doing it I would get so frustrated with it but after lots of tries I’ve gotten pretty good at it. Your method is very similar to what I do and I use cheese wedges as well. This is a prime example of why trail and error is the best not the programs. Great video!

Great video. Will help me in making a sign for a custom micro building I've made.

Finished the first draft of my sign for my micro scale building but I'm off by 1/2 width of a tile's edge. I'm hoping the other styles of letters you mentioned address this issue. Thank you for making these videos.

Thanks for the video, I learned something. I didn't realize all those signs were illegal stacks of tiles. Guess I need to make another order....

As a starting AFOL I’ve been looking for a video like this to make a name plate. The link from the Lego discovery center didn’t work anymore, thanks for explaining the same technique, gonna try it out really soon! :D

can’t wait for the next video with the cheese slopes! I find it hard to keep the cheese slopes from falling out on either an M or an R. Probably because i’m trying to leave most of the back open so I can illuminate the sign. Lol making my own problems.

Nice.. I already use this technic.. I would just like to say that the tiles without grooves are better in this case. Small slopes allow to improve some letter as well.. So I waiting the next video!

@@BevinsBricksWorld yeah as you were demonstrating I got me thinking back on when I built the café corner or the movie theater modules and the signs you had to brick build. I can definitely visualize where the cheese slopes would improve some of the letters also. Thanks again

Great video, I want to make my House number out of lego (120) to hang from my mailbox. I would like it larger than this and preferably visible from both sides. How would I scale this up for a Mailbox sign? I am thinking 6 inches high 8 inches wide. What would be the part list I would need?
@BevinsBricksWorld3 жыл бұрын
To go larger just use 2x4 bricks as they will really stand out that way.

Hi, thanks for the video. I’m currently doing a MOC based on the toy shop from Set 31105. I thought it would be perfect to make a letter sign above entry that says ‘TOYS’. I made the sign one brick thick but it is very loose and hard to keep together without pushing thru. I made it to look like your ARCADE sign in video and Rita length is 10 studs. Anything that I’m overlooking to make more secure? Thanks
@BevinsBricksWorld3 жыл бұрын
Sadly that is an issue with this particular method what you can do though is use modified plates with clips to attach to bars on the back side
@dorohmc3 жыл бұрын
@@BevinsBricksWorld I assume you are referring to the technique used in the PetShop and Detective’s Office. I worked it out for my application and like many things with LEGO, the satisfaction when it finally works is great.
