That was a great video. I'm in the process of doing something similar but with addition of motorized x, y and z along with optical zoom and motorized focus all controlled over USB. I'll have to make a video when I finish collecting the parts and build it. Your design is awesome in the relative simplicity and the production and soundtrack top-notch! How did you capture the microscope image for this video? Where did you take the image data from the camera lens assembly from? It has no such sensor and webcam can't record the microscope image.

i had an old security camera that i turned into a microscope. it has more zoom than this, but i had to break the one-way bulletproof glass (was a pain in the ass to break it), and remove some electronics to make it work.
