Hi Dr. SARALA. this was the 1st experiment I did after starting out on millet duet inspired by Khadarji..in 2013! The process was similar to ragi soaking, drying, making it flour and then making mudde! Since it was tasting bland I began to add few masala like onions coconut chillies etc...Thanks for the videos to cook and consume millets right way😊

Nice flavours you have shown. You have taught me to make mudde as prepare upma with onion, tomatoes, green chillies, corriandar leaves which is my favourite mudde. I enjoy it very much. Tq.

Yes you can mix the flour with plain water if you are using any other ingredient like tomato for an element of sourness

Dr sarala ma’am , if millet flour is not available, can we do like this ? 1. Soak millet for 8 hrs 2. Make fine paste of it , add curds rest it for 1/2 an hr 3. And make mudde from fine paste??

I am following kadhar sir life style we enjoy eating millets... Mam I am facing plantar fasciitis from 2months plz tell me what should I do it's painful when standing walking Dr says to take injections to heel.. Plz suggest me on this.

santhosh krishna It’s a sign of calcium metabolism being disturbed and also hormonal imbalance Include sesame in your diet weekly twice / ragi milk / makhana for calcium and follow the hormon imbalance protocol

Madam please ...we have pdf of Khadhar garu...we are following the ambali...and table for weight loss... ...in the mng we will take khasyams and take ambali(fermanted)...feeling good and light ....please tell me how to proceed eating them in aftn as well night for weight loss

Madam, can we do the same mudde with millet batter instead...can the millet be soaked for extra hours than the six-eight hours...if I want to make millet dosa on the next day can I soak the millet overnight..

Overnight soaking is good I haven’t tried mudde with batter If you mean dosa batter , it is fermented and has urad dal which would not be ideal for this dish

Thank you dr Sarala ma’am for these mudde recipes I have tried plain mudde earlier , this looks delicious, will try it .Due to lockdown millets flour is not available, will try once it’s available , one query on HALBAI , I prepared it using brown top millet , it was so tasty 😋, CAN WE STORE it for a week ???

Hi Dr Sarala. I have been following Dr. Khader millets diet and it's very helpful I have a small query. Can store soaked and dried millets ? Like, can we soak millets in large quantity for overnight, dry them under sun for a couple of days and store it in containers? Looking forward for your reply 🙏

poojitha s Yes you can. Soak one week or ten days requirement at a time But ensure that you do not throw away the water used for soaking Use it to make rasam or sambar so that you do not lose the water soluable vitamins and minerals

Well it would have been better if we can make plain mudde like Ragi mudde... (Just Ragi Flour + Water). No salt, no seasoning, no ghee... And also Ragi flour is easier handling & perfect finish (neither hard nor soft - of course depends on bit of mastering it). I don't think any other grain can replace Ragi in mudde! Plain Ragi mudde can be swallowed with just simple basic sambar or even simple khaara (garlic, pepper, cumin, green chillie & little coriander leaves)... I tried making mudde with Siridhanya (with all the methods - pre-soaking, sun-drying, etc) but it turns out either too sticky or too rough (I prepare genuine Ragi mudde with 5+ years experience in that) I don't think Siridhanya fiber is made for making mudde... Ragi probably has the best ingredient (with its calcium - white chalk like substance can probably give good binding + its black fiber gives that slight roughness). I think Ragi with its fiber count 3.5gm+ is the best neutral grain (in terms of fiber which is on the higher side) and nothing wrong in consuming it and hence closest to the 5 siridhanya! I myself consume 1 medium Ragi ball + 1 small bowl of Siridhanya (any of 5) rice for lunch (because my other family-members except my father have Ragi Ball + White rice instead of Siridhanya) We like it that way - mudde + rice (instead of just rice) I am not a critic of Siridhanya, in fact I support it and believe in Dr.Khader's ideology... But I am just bringing out the practical issues... On the brighter side, I simply loved the soft Saame-Rice with Uppu-Saaru yesterday night (with a bit of ghee), it was definitely tastier (heavenly actually) than white rice and I felt pity for my wife & daughter who were chewing white rice which was not binding well with the curry... We just need to get into the right method....

@@milletmagic6609 I think people who have not eaten/prepared mudde yet, could first try it with ragi (preparing and eating), and then try with Siridhanya... Same way with Rotti... First learn it with Jowar and then experiment with millets... This is just my opinion.... Millets can be a true alrounder... Can be used for mudde, rotti, chapathi, rice, porridge, idly/dosa everything (while Ragi can be used only for mudde/rotti, white rice only for rice/idly/dosa, wheat only for chapathi) But we need to get deep into that and have some patience....

Yes you will need a Chakki or flour mill You get best results with fine flour Coarsely ground flour makes roti hard
