So many tips and hints! Thank you. I'm sure you are already aware that you can make useful little books by using the spine of old chequebooks or paying in books that you may come across. They cut down to size really easily.

That candleholder is so effective. I knew you would have used easy to find materials, I love that about your miniatures, but never expected to have everything on hand even the treat sticks. I know I have some of those in the kitchen and will be digging them out to give this a go.

Hi Sharon!!!!! how lovely those miniature sets right??? I bet aunt Katri is delighted and the guests at the Gnome B&B will be thrilled!!! Ohhh, I just saw you look at the box it came in... I bet lots of ideas came to your mind by just looking at the pattern ✨💡 ✨💡 ✨💡 You will not know this... but when I was a baby, my mouth was so small that when my mom wanted to feed me baby food, she had to use a toy teaspoon (from the toy tea sets) to feed me lol, of course, not these miniature like, but still super small.. by looking at these it reminded me of that

Great idea, you could also use scanned frames; print on cardstock & heat-emboss a nice embossing powder over them to make them look more solid & shiny or metallic.

Do u know that Wish sells the dishes and candle with holder for less. They have a lot of minature stuff.
@thisgirlrocks64695 жыл бұрын
Really?
@WhereTheGnomesLive5 жыл бұрын
can't get less than free, I made the candle holders, lol I edited my comment because I was thinking of another company that sells cheap things. I've actually never bought anything from wish before but I just did a quick browse and the dishes I bought are on there but for double than what I paid plus you have to pay shipping on top of that. And that's with Wish's sale price! So I did get a very good deal on amazon. Just be careful and be sure to check online at different sites before buying on amazon, wish and whatever other company sells online

U never take the first price u see . I scroll down and find the idem . different company's have different prices. I got mine free with $2.00 shipping.

What scale are the hutch and accessories
@WhereTheGnomesLive3 жыл бұрын
I don't follow a scale but probably closer to 1:12. You can make these any size according to what character you're using with them. I measured out the backboard first and just eyed it up with one of my character gnomes to see if that was a good height then same for the counter top, I held my gnome to the backboard and determined the appropriate height for a counter top. I've given the measurements for mine but like I said, you can do any size just determining those 2 pieces first www.sharonojala.com/2019/06/how-to-make-miniature-kitchen-hutch.html

I was just having a conversation in the comments with someone else. They suggested also check out Wish, they have dishes too but just be careful. The same set can be sold for a lot more there plus you pay shipping. I found the same dishes I bought for double at Wish.. I didn't find any cheaper that what I paid but maybe I didn't look hard enough. Different sellers sell the same item for varying prices. It's best to scroll through and make sure you're not getting ripped off.

@@WhereTheGnomesLive I tried making a smaller scale and I messed up on the measurements a bit. I think I'll make another in 12th scale so it turns out better 😊
@WhereTheGnomesLive5 жыл бұрын
what I did to get the measurements for my first one was use my doll for the height. I first decided how high, wide and deep the counter top should be (according to my doll) then I built everything around that. If you figure out your counter top then next you could decide how tall the whole hutch should be. And that would be the measurement for the back wall. It could be any height you choose and it would be as wide as your counter top. With those 2 pieces measured out the rest could be built accordingly. I hope that helps a little.
