Mohanthal is a traditional Gujarati Mithai (Gujarati Sweet Dish) that can be served any time of the year. It is rich and delicious with the aroma of Ghee, roasted Chickpea Flour (Besan), Nuts and Spices. It is often served at weddings and celebrations and can be eaten soft & runny or as a bite-size cube! So it's very versatile!
My mother-in-law has scoped out the best mohanthal recipe through the years, and this is it!
This is not the easiest of recipes but, in my video, I will make a difficult recipe easy to follow. So let's get cooking!

INGREDIENTS
230g Sieved Chickpea Flour
2 Tbspn or 30ml Warm Milk
1 Tbsp or 15ml Melted Ghee
80g Milk Powder (Full Fat)
3 Tbspn or 45ml Warm Milk
1 Tbsp or 15ml Melted Ghee
60g Almonds
170g Granulated Sugar
90ml Water
170g Melted Ghee (added gradually)
1 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
Pinch of Nutmeg Powder
Pinch of Mace Powder
4-5 Strands Saffron
A little Orange Food Colouring
Shaved Almonds & Pistachios for Garnishing
