Over the many years of browsing beautiful photos from all over the world, I've learnt a few small key methods of buying an "art piece" (photographers are artists in every sense of the word!!) When purchasing/investing in an photographic art piece, first; take a few minutes to investigate the photographer. Like yourself, those who have taken a great deal of pride in their work, they usually have a website that explains who they are. One doesn't have to be an "Ansel Adams" to make money but making oneself somewhat transparent to the customer, the chances of selling your photos IMO, sell much better. Like you said in your video, people don't usually care who it is that took the photo but knowing it was generated by a real person and not some computer, makes a tremendous difference. BTW, A great video!! I've watched several others try to explain "how to" but got discouraged and got me no where!

Sheen, thanks for the helpful video. I visited your Etsy shop and have a question. Do you frame pack and ship yourself or do you drop ship from a photo print lab?

Hi there and thank you for your feedback. When I receive an order, I upload the file to my printing partner. They do the printing and white label shipping (no invoice and nothing with the printing partners name) I also use another photo and added a 3x3 or 4x4” thank you note on that photo to include with the ordered print. Hope that helps! 😊😊

Great video Sheen! I found this really interesting. Although I am not looking to make money from my photography, as I worry that it might take the fun out of my photography. But I do like the idea of a website. Thanks for posting.

Hi Steve! Thanks for watching and commenting. The start up part is the hardest. Picking one thing, like a website, to share your work brings your portfolio to life for others (and ourselves) to enjoy. The good news is that there are sites that allow us to create a free website to display our work. And if you want to sell your work later you can upgrade to a different plan. Photography in itself is very personal and big part of who we are. Have a great day my friend!!
