It took me a month to get my first job, but I focused exclusively on a very recent technology that I already mastered well. after that it gets easier. but it becomes really easy when you get a badge.

Agreed! Things pick up fast when you start earning 5-star reviews. After my first few, I started getting a lot more invites from clients.

I really appreciate your channel! I want to thank you so much for everything you provide for us! I have masters 1 in software engineering I know a lot of algorithms and web development frameworks and my knowledge is all over the place. I decided to learn reactJS and master it but then I realised how many people are after react and how job postings get filled up quickly with proposals. I also searched for wordpress on upwork there were more jobs found and less proposals on each job. So now i changed my goal from learning react to learning wordpress. I already have a deep understanding of html css js and a little but of php so i dont think it's going to be hard to learn. But the inconsistency and confusion about what I want to do is real hahahah. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you!

You're very welcome! Inconsistency and discipline are critical when learning a new skill or building a freelance business. The best thing you can do is try to incorporate the leaning into your daily habits. That way, it's so embedded into your daily routine that you don't even realize it. LOL I personally learned the most about SQL Server when I started working with it every day.

I have a client account and I've hired freelancers to help with my business. It helped me get a better understanding of what clients look for in freelancers.

@@JoshBurnsTech that's great! I'm gonna give it a shot. I've been really struggling with my recent job loss so thanks for sharing. Your transparency gave me the confidence. I've been building web sites for 8 years and I haven't been out of work this long in a long time.
