I had an interview two months ago and I have bachelor degree in Computer Science, literally the interviewer was really honest with me, said to me that we don’t need your degree if you can’t solve our problem or if you don’t have skills. So, what matter the most is skills and ability to pull out of the work.❤
@miketimberland48505 ай бұрын
Where this? In most European countries it's just the opposite. A degree is the minimum required for an interview, even if it is not relevant to the job. Recruiters don't test your abilities and skills during the interview. The underlying assumption is that only through an academic path one can really learn how to use one's brain. Self learning is something they cannot imagine it can even exist, or that it can produce any result. That's why certifications are appreciated but always in conjunction with a university degree. Certifications alone are never taken seriously.
@cristian-florea-coding5 ай бұрын
@miketimberland4850 crazy, I got shit ton of jobs in Europe in different countries without a degree
@NPC-pl5cy5 ай бұрын
But then again, they won't even consider taking your interview even if you have no degree but have skills to solve their problems. I'm from a country where having a degree from a top notch elite institute grants you better job prospect. Companies don't even care about taking in freshers outside of these elite institutes. Even if you manage to get a job without the relevant degree/outside the elite institutes, the companies would treat you like a literal slave, overworked to the bones and paid in peanuts. It's no wonder why people here move out of this country for better job prospect abroad.
@KhanUniversity3215 ай бұрын
@@NPC-pl5cy degree to one aspect, definitely give you personality meaning somebody then can at least cannot say anything related to your personality or will treat you well. The skills on the other side, definitely outshine the master which people never want due to egos.

Great video. The point is money, technology and coding are just the tools. Many young programmers being excited with coding they dive deep in the techs and forget to make money. At the end they get tired studying a new technology every week (it's a madness), have none to pay their bills and they change job. This is the main reason most of programmers quit before their forties. I loved that the video was focused on making money with the minimum technologies. That really keeps the programmer in the business.
