It's only 275°, paper and cardboard armatures are quite fine at a low temperature. It can get a bit dicey if you're using a small toaster oven and being in close proximity to the heating elements. But for the most part in a full size normal oven it's fine. Been using cardboard and paper for a long time as armature bases. 😁 I've burned clay before but that was a crappy toaster oven.

Great job! I would like to try polymer clay for sculpting, everything else I've tried has a short working span before too dry. I'd watch a video on making tools. I thinks making tools is more fun than using them sometimes.

I haven’t watcged monster inc but I am kind of familiar with the characters. I love your build. It looks great- I’m glad to see cardboard survives the baking process. I ordered a papermache egg to create an occamy just hatching and hope that the egg made of paper won’t catch fire 🔥. Now I can be pretty sure that everything will go well 😅

The only thing to be aware of is sometimes paper mache shapes have a thin plastic form under them that *might* melt. It just depends on the plastic. But definitely something to be aware of.

Yep 👍🏾 just keep an eye on it but at the temperature that the clay bakes at you should be okay, but it’s better if the paper or cardboard is completely covered in clay and not directly exposed. 😁
