for those that don't like the taste of coconut oil, you can use peanut oil or any other oil that has a high smoke point. personally i like the taste of peanut oil and flavacol so that's what i've always used, i pop my corn in a 6qt revere ware stainless pot on the stovetop, shaking the pan the old-fashioned way. 1/2 cup corn, 4tbsp oil, 1tbsp flavacol. always turns out perfect, waay better than microwaved corn.

Hi Keith, Hot soapy water cleans the bowl and you just wipe the popper itself with paper towels and then a well wrung out cloth, after it's cool of course.🥰

My Aunt Winifred used to make popcorn in a big cast iron skillet for me and my 4 brothers. When she lifted the lid and the popcorn flew onto the floor, we all fought like animals to get at it. She always burnt a bit of it because we loved it that way. Those were the days my friends..
