Love how easy you make these seem! Plus can be made with items most have in their craftroooms! Can't wait to make my granddaughter's dolls their own shoe wardrobe!

Love the idea of using these trims for the doll shoes. I have some vintage 60s trims that would look fantastic. Gonna have to try this.

These are the cutest shoes. There are so many different kinds of trim, it's probably possible to get all kinds of different looks. It would be cool to make a pair for each outfit.

Thanks for the video. I made this pattern the other day for a Glitter Girl doll, and I had a terrible time with the grosgrain ribbon from Joann's because the ribbon frayed. I didn't use fray check because I thought it would be too stiff, but I will give flexible glue a try next time.

I used a piece of heavily embroidered fabric roughly 1.5 '" thick. My pattern, which was for the 13"-14" doll (H4H) came out almost too small. I'm gonna take a guess and say that the piece of fabric I chose was too firm. It did not have any give whatsoever. Luckily for the strip of ribbon attached to the heel because it's what i have to use to get the shoe on my Hearts 4 Hearts doll's foot. Otherwise, a gorgeous shoe. I will be more conscious of what fabric i choose for next shoe. I will be making more shoes for my H4H doll Rahel.

What is the sole made out of?
@SewingWithCinnamon8 жыл бұрын
The sole is 2mm foam and chipboard, which is a very dense type of cardboard. You can buy them pre-cut from Pixie Faire or cut them yourself from the sole shape included in the pattern. :)
