Num Banh Bev is a Cambodian dessert that we mostly find at fresh market in the morning. Steamed mung bean and shredded coconut are for topping and we will have it with coconut dipping sauce or roasted sesame seeds.
Ingredients:
1. Steamed mung bean for topping
60g [1/4cup] Dried mung bean (Soak in the water for 2 hours)
1 Tablespoon Sugar
A pinch of salt
2. Banh Bev Batter
140g [1cup] Rice flour
6 Tablespoon Tapioca starch
1/4 tsp Salt
4 Tablespoon Sugar
200ml or [3/4cup] Water
250ml [1cup] Coconut milk
3. Coconut Dipping Sauce
250ml [1cup] Coconut milk
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1/4 tsp Salt
3 Pandan leaves
1tsp Tapioca starch
4. Stuff for topping (add as much as you like)
Shredded coconut meat
Roasted black sesame seeds
Roasted white sesame seeds
