Thanks for this presentation. I worked with it all day yesterday and like its functionality. One area that didn't work for me was the image area. We use symbols instead of individuals pictures and I thought that I would use a .png of one of the symbols in the image field and did use the style with the picture but it didn't show. Not a big deal but it would have made the final cleaner looking. Great instruction.

I figure out one way - 1- add another blank template of charts that contains imagens 2- click on it and select the option "Edit Data" this will direct you to "Bricks data" and copy image column with photos from the template over to your data and this should work. If you know other way, let's know. Or perhaps, Kevin, could respond to us.

1 other thing is with the org chart somehow it will not list and extra coloum for department, unless you can tell me how to do this?

How is this different from the built in Excel functionality?

Excel uses SmartArt to make org charts, similar to what you would do in Word or PowerPoint. Excel offers basic functionality for creating org charts, but I found that Bricks is easier and more intuitive. You can make an org chart by simply pasting your data. You also get multiple templates to choose from and if you update your data, it updates the org chart. Basically... it's a faster and more efficient without the hassle.

You can export as a PNG or a PDF. Are there any other export formats you would want?

Level up! Use a sharepoint list with a power app front end. Sounds scarier than it is - power platform is the modern day excel. And it's almost certainly already included in your organization.

It's not the AI I was thinking of, it looks like it's still stuck with fixed templates. With Claude, I can create a web page and actually get it to generate the styles and code that I describe.

Normally I really get much out of your videos Kevin, but I have tried twice now to use Bricks to create an org chart and their web site is not laid out like in your video, nor does it come out as recorded in your video. I do not find the site intuitive at all, and just end up chucking it all in favor of something else. Bricks may be some sort of so-called AI, but it is seriously lacking in ease of use. Just one man's opinion.
