How to Make Organic Pottery Paint

How long do you boil this for. Do you use hemitite for your mixture. Does 5he clay make the paint black.

There is a book on archeology for ceramics in the Pueblo which states that there is no special quality in Rocky Mountain Bee plant that makes it good for organic paint. I assume the same is generally true of sunflower or mesquite beans. I suspect the main thing to look for is the plant possessing a sticky sugary sap of some kind which at low temperatures will char
