Baking powder has no flavour so it shouldn't leave your pancakes with a bitter taste. Baking soda needs an acid to neutralize the bitter flavour but these pancakes don't have an acid so baking powder is used. If your baking powder is leaving a bad taste in the pancakes consider trying a different brand of baking powder.

Ingredients 🥞 1½ (184 grams) Cups all purpose/plain Flour🍚 4 (16 grams) Teaspoons Baking Powder🍚 Pinch of Salt🍚 1 table spoon sugar (if you want)🍙 1 Egg🥚 1¼ (310 mL) Cups Milk🥛 ¼ (55 grams) Cup Melted Butter + more for cooking ½ (2.1 grams) Teaspoon Vanilla Essence Instructions In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking powder and salt with a wooden spoon. Set to the side in a smaller bowl crack in the egg and pour in the milk.Add the melted butter and vanilla essence to the egg and milk and use a fork to mix together until everything is well combined. Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in the wet. Fold the batter together with a wooden spoon until there are no longer any large lumps. To cook the pancakes heat a heavy based pan like cast iron over medium low heat. When the pan is hot add a small amount of butter and ⅓ cup of the pancakes batter. Cook the pancake for 2-3 minutes each side. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve the pancakes stacked high with butter and maple syrup. Enjoy. Notes You can add other flavourings to the pancakes such as blueberries or chocolate chips. Add the extra ingredients at the same time as you combine the wet and dry ingredients. 🖤Don't Hate just Make🖤 (The recipe is also in her discription but I got this from her official website, for those of us who are too slack clicking a few links 😂😣#relatable) I'm not a hero don't thank me. Made this recipe this morning, 1 August 2021, and the wife loved it. A few things to note: 1. I reduced the baking powder by one teaspoon 2. I added 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar - definitely recommended 3. Ensure that your milk is room temperature or else the butter in the fluid mixture will solidify before you can mix it with the dry ingredients 4. Recipe made six 10cm/6 inch flapjacks

So for those wondering this recipe works and tastes amazing! Here are the ingredients: 1 1/2 cups | 190g plain flour 4 teaspoons baking powder Pinch of Salt (half teaspoon) 2 tablespoons sugar (optional) 1 Egg 1 1/4 cups | 310ml Milk 1/4 cup | 60g butter (I didn’t have much butter so I only used around 3/4 tablespoon butter and it turned out well) 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence (this is optional I used vanilla sugar but it’s much more strong so only add around 1/6 teaspoons of it) Tip make sure the liquid and solids are combined in the batter and it is all a thick liquid before using the batter

I made one change: I only used 3 teaspoons of baking powder. Oh and I also used bread flour. These were by far the best pancakes I've ever made. And I've been cooking since 1982. Another suggestion: leave the dough a little on the thick side (not runny) - it makes the pancakes fluffier. Update 4/9/22: I used all the baking powder this time (4 tsp.) and used the bread flour - man these are hands down the BEST PANCAKES ever! I'll never go to boxed pancakes ever again; there's no comparison.

This is literally the best pancake recipe on yt and I’m saying this after trying several other recipes. My pancakes turned out really fluffy and soft. Although I made a mistake by adding semi hot butter in wet ingredient because of which crystal like lumps were formed in the mixture but I sieved it while adding into dry ingredients so it was okay. Also 2 tbsp of sugar isn’t enough at all. I added 3 and it was still not enough so if you like your pancakes sweet like me than I recommend adding at least 5 tbsp of sugar

These pancakes are so amazing and fluffy! I just made 5 pancakes from this recipe and it is so yummy. I've never made pancakes before and they came out perfect. Edit: If you want to make half the amount don't half the ingredients or the batter will be too thick. I ended up adding a little more flour and milk as well as a whole egg instead of half. This way it's not too dry/thick.

I made this recipe today and it was delicious. My pancakes came out light and fluffy. I didn’t do the recommended amount of sugar because I love syrup and had to choose one or the other lol Also I added walnuts, blueberries and blackberries.
@TK-if3ks3 ай бұрын
so you didn't add sugar at all? and it tasted good (with syrup)? I don't want to add any sugar to the recipe but I'm not sure how it's going to turn out without it.

@@TK-if3ks correct I didn’t add sugar just ate it with syrup. Between the syrup and berries it was great.

These are so fluffy and delicious I experienced the disconcerting feeling of eating too many big forkfuls consecutively and it clogged up in my chest. Felt like I was going to die. Thank you Carina, 10/10 will do it again. Side note, the pancakes by themselves tasted fine but if you aren't going to eat with any syrup I would double or maybe triple the sugar, if you prefer the sweetness. These also refrigerate nicely and heat for about 30s in a microwave.

I don't remember when I'd originally found this video, but I came across it again today when searching for an easy pancake recipe. My pancakes will never look as gorgeous as those in the video, but they were for darn sure delicious! 🤤😋 I doubled this recipe because I know these kids are gonna be snacking on them for most of the day and can take the rest home when they go; as a result, I tweaked this recipe a little. I used 190g of both all-purpose flour and whole wheat pastry flour, 620ml/20oz of oat milk, replaced the sugar with roughly 2 Tablespoons of granulated Pyure (may add a third next time) sweetener, and added 30g of unflavored Isopure protein powder and 30g collagen peptides, all of which didn't change the taste or texture of my pancakes too much, however, results may vary depending on the brand and way these additions act. Since I had to use 2 Tablespoons and 2 teaspoons of baking powder, I used Rumford's aluminum-free (red can) baking powder, which lacks the sodium aluminum sulfate and helps avoid that bitter/acidic taste. These were super tasty with blueberry goat cheese, honey goat cheese, blueberry preserves, strawberry spread, honey, and maple syrup. Not all at once, mind you, I ate like 6 of the 28 I made, so I tried a few combinations with a side of fresh strawberries and some water. This recipe, for sure, will be my go-to going forward.
