INGREDIENTS
2 CUPS FLOUR
1 TBSP SALT
1 TBSP SUGAR
1 EGG
1/2 CUP OF WARM MILK
1/4 CUP OF WARM WATER
MIX DRY INGREDIENTS TOGETHER.
ADD THE EGG, AND MIX.
PUT WARM MILK AND MIX.
ADD WATER AND START KNEADING.
KEEP KNEADING FOR 5 MINS AND MAKE A BIG BALL.
IN A CLEAN BOWL, PUT OIL AND SMEAR AROUND THE BOWL.
PUT THE DOUGH IN THE BOWL AND SMEAR OIL ON THE DOUGH.
COVER THE DOUGH WITH A CLEAN TABLECLOTH OR FOIL AND LET IT REST FOR 30 MINS.
AFTER 30 MINS, DIVIDE THE DOUGH INTO 7, THEN MAKE BALLS.
RETURN THE 7 BALLS IN THE BOWL AND SMEAR THE OIL IN THE BOWL.
LET IT REST FOR ANOTHER 10 MINS.
ON YOUR WORKING SPACE PUT OIL ON THE BENCH AND TAKE ONE BALL AT A TIME AND ROLL IT UNTIL VERY THIN.
PUT OIL ON THE DOUGH, FOLD IT IN HALF THEN FOLD IN SPIRAL.
DO TO THE REST OF THE BALLS.
ON YOUR PAN PUT 1 TBSP OF OIL AND FLATTEN THE DOUGH WITH YOUR FINGERS AND COOK THEM IN MEDIUM HEAT.
WHEN THE BOTTOM IS COOKED, TURN IT OVER. AS IT COOK PRESS WITH YOUR SPATULA.
SERVE YOUR PARATHA WITH CURRIES, LENTILS, OR STEWS OF YOUR CHOICE.
