No. They do this all the time. KZbin is on a delay. Once the season has finished airing, they wait a few weeks, and then start a regular upload schedule for that past season. Between full episodes, they'll break down and upload those episodes into equipment reviews and single recipes to get more search hits and keep the channel relevant in the YT algorithm. Wash and repeat.

Worst most wasteful cold brew process ever. There are diy coffee filters from cotton muslin that absorb the volatile oils, but I like Coffeesock co.’s filters & instructions. Much easier, cost effective, flavorful, & less wasteful than this method. It shows no understanding of coffee’s properties or our pocketbooks. I know, I said “wasteful” twice because this process is appallingly so.

I agree, I'd rather go to a Starbucks, Tim Hortons (for those who live in Canada) or a local coffee shop to order the cold brew instead of painfully making it at home.

Interesting technique on the cold brewed coffee but coffee is expensive especially good coffee and 2 1/2 cups of coffee beans cold brewed only gives you 2 cups of coffee where as 2 1/2 cups of coffee beans hot brewed gives you more than 24 cups of coffee.

straight up that much 1:1 coffee has got to be fucking ROCKET FUEL. I normally do something approaching 4:1 and get two 16oz drinks after diluting and adding a little milk (just my own preference). One of those drinks is good for me for the morning - and I am normally a 1 pot a day person. That said, I bet her recipe tastes killer.

There are better ways to make it. Her method was some gourmet stuff. They sell pitchers that are easier than a French press. I grind the beans (dark roast), slowly pour water over the grounds and stick it in the fridge before bed. It's ready in the morning. I sweeten with agave nectar, add milk and ice. It's easier than brewing with a French press.

honestly, I make a really big batch ahead of time (1 cup water per ounce of coffee grounds ~ I usually make 7-8 ounces worth) and that will last me about a week. it’s worth not spending the money at a coffee shop if you just want your daily cold brew fix!

I found it interesting the many dislike of having, as a number of comments state, "burnt edges," on the eggs. Eggs cooked in this manner are referred to as having, "lace." I often times cook them like this as I love the lace. It is however, a mood/dish thing - more often, I cook eggs in this fashion when they accompany a lunch or dinner dish. On another note, I think it's cool that many of the products ATK recommend can be seen in use in these videos. I see a number of items I use at home (as a direct result of ATK's reviews and recommendations) at use in these homes. That's cool. Thanks for sharing these videos.

Am I the only one that thinks that "cold brew concentrate" is kinda pointless/wasteful? I use maybe a cup of grounds in a 32oz jar and just let it sit in the fridge until it's concentrated enough. Maybe your method is faster, but uses twice the amount of grounds or more.

But this isn't the only recipe that exists... There are different recipes with different ratios of coffee/water. I thought that in this recipe they use a lot of coffee and it has like 3 o 4 steps more than it needs to... When you're just awake in the morning you don't mesure everything and make 35 different things dirty so that you can have the perfect amount of milk xD

If you put a lot of sugar and cream in your cold brew that's fine, but letting it steep a long time will over extract the grounds. There are unpleasant/off flavours that come out. You need to find a balance. But if that works for you, it works.

Fried eggs. I only have a smaller pan with a good lid, I do what they use to call basted eggs. Hot pan, eggs go in, when the whites set a bit in goes a teaspoon or 2 of cold water and the lid goes on. Time it for how well you want you yolks done. Gives you a little more steam this way.

Nice coffee idea. I can't wait to try it tomorrow. Unfortunately I wont be showing up to work for 3 days and I will have used 8 times the beans compared to making a hot cup of coffee but what the heck, I'm made of money.................and time. Next time make the recipe from the international space station. I hear the subtle nuances of zero gravity greatly enhances coffee flavor.

Curious about the nonstick requirement for the fried eggs and why you say it's the "right choice". I've been frying perfect eggs on cast iron and/or stainless for many years ever since I kicked nonstick to the curb. Still works great!!

I have made these yeasted waffles for years, having memorized the recipe from an old Cooks Illustrated issue. I recall the origjnal recipe called for a teaspoon of baking powder I could be wrong and puttung in an extra ingredienr all these years. They still taste good!
