How to make perfect yoghurt without store bought yoghurt starter

STARTER
milk powder - 1/2 cup
hot water - 1/2 cup
YOGHURT
milk powder - 2 cups
water - 3 and 1/2 cups

There is an enzyme in the head of chilli, that help in curdling of milk. Whole chilli with head should be used & it doesn’t impart any flavour.

I think somebody has already answered you. You can also use lemon or lime but trust me chili pepper with the stem on will give you the best result. For the sweeting you can use sugar, honey or any sweetener of your choice Yoghurt Starter made with chili always stands out

Why do you use chilies? I've never seen them used for yoghurt before.

@@thehazelnutspread the stem on the chilies contain an enzyme that is capable of fermenting milk. So if you use a chili without the stem on it , it won't work

@@sheerabash1627 for the starter you don't need much so half cup ( 100mls ) will do but for the yoghurt itself it depends on the quantity you want Any small amount of yoghurt starter can make a lot of yoghurt. Note: if you're using fresh milk for the yoghurt starter you can't use hot water, just bring the milk to heat. Please are you clear now?

Dear, you might want to study plastic and how plastic leaks into food and causes cancer or other diseases. I do not use any plastic in cooking, especially when it is for heated food.
