Informative and fun ! I’ve been watching and learning from you for years now ( have enjoyed using your detailed plans too )and it just dawned on me that your wife has been there from the beginning and has watched you mature as a furniture maker. Totally appropriate and pleasant that she participates in the you tube series. All the best going forward!

Easy to fit the kickers by turning the table upside down, cut it half inch short and do a rub joint. It lines up with the top of the sides and works well.

Thanks John, that’s a great option and idea! 👍😎

I've been using this as my go-to reference for building drawers! One question (and please let me know if you explain this in any other video): How would you add a drawer stop to prevent the drawer from falling over when opening it?

Thank you Richard! Those kinds of affirming comments mean a lot. It took me a while in life to find the path that suites my gifts and adds a kind of value to the world, and it’s reassuring to know it’s appreciated. So glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching! 👍😎

Thanks Tom for this video and taking the time (as always) explaining the things how you do it and why you do it. And in between fun remarks. Found your channel just recently (sorry). Can't always see it "live" because I'm from another timezone. But I subscribed, so I can watch it on a - for me - better time. I'm a 65 year old Dutchman (from the Netherlands). Since 2 years unemployed and discovered the fun of woodworking. I have to set myself straight because watching woodworkers clips makes me think I have to buy more and more tools, which can cost a lot. But that aside, like I said, I like the way you explain the things you do. I also like the "camera-woman" 😉, don' lose her 😜. The only thing we "Europeans" don't understand why you still work with imperial (difficult) instead of metric (easy/far more logical). Well, it's a "used to" thing I guess. Enough said for now. Looking forward for your coming videos. Stay safe and healthy, from the Netherlands.

Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to me. Especially since you are watching from the Netherlands! I hear it is a beautiful there and would love to visit someday. I know what you mean about buying tools, sometimes the simplest approach is best, and more satisfying. I remember when I was in grade school outside of Boston, Massachusetts and there was a big push to go to the Metric system over here…it didn’t work apparently 😎 And there’s no way I could do this without the camera lady, she makes the world go around, around here!! I’m so glad you found us and enjoy what we are doing. Thank you for watching and being part of us here! 👍 Tom

@@EpicWoodworking Thanks for your reply Tom (didn't expect it). As for the cameraman (woman), your blessed (and keep that blessing). Behind every sane man there's a good woman (well, that's what they say I heard somewhere). I loved America during my visits to my sister in Florida (lived there for 22 years (Rockledge Florida)), but unfortunatly she and her husband decided to go back to this tiny country called the Netherlands, which meant ..... bye, bye vacation adress. But, as I said, I subscribed, not only for the woodworking but also for your passion doing and explaining it. Looking forward to your upcoming videos from that lovely camera"man". Hope that my English/Dutch is readable, because it's not my first language 😉. Stay safe and healthy.

For logevity and/or future repairabilty, I always screw my runners and kickers. Nothing worse than repairing a worn-out runner that was glued into place.
@EpicWoodworking6 ай бұрын
Yes, I agree. I do the same on chests of drawers where I have seen many antique runner “dished out” from the amount of use and weight of the drawers. With a small side table like this, and an oak runner, I don’t have the same concern for wear. Thanks 👍
