Merci. Your videos seem to be timed to help the problems I encounter in practicing. I've made a resolution that in the next Twelve Days before Christmas (Christmas comes in September this year) I will have all 12 keys and their harmonic and melodic minor chords better imprinted in my fingers. And my arpeggios have been sounding sad. Your tips are always appreciated. I've been working on CPE Bach's exercises for cadences, and it's helped to understand music better. I sort of wish that cadences would be taught before chord progressions.

Amazing!!! What a cool plan! And I’m so happy to hear that the timing is spot on. That’s great ✅

Ashlee, excellent excellent excellent job describing how to “lead with your wrist”. It almost seems like people are afraid to fully explain this essential technique. In addition to freedom and flexibility like you describe, I think it also promotes accuracy by moving your hand to be less diagonal and more inline with your target keys. 😊

Thank you for taking the time to say so and yes! I think you’re exactly right!

Ashlee, your videos really are so helpful. As an aside, if you don’t mind, I thought I might ask you your opinion on Essex grand pianos as I have seen positive comments on these - notably mentioning a high build quality and warm tone.

Yes! I love my Essex! I’d say overall I’m happy with it - they are not meant to be played the amount that I have played it, but great piano!

Very helpful video... Could I ask, would it be possible to reduce the amount of clicking and popping in video... As music lovers, we are very sensitive to sound and it's annoying... Similar to nails on a blackboard especially as you talk. May be I'm one of the few bothered by the series of clicks and pops.

Ilinca Vartic said it very well: The fingers are not leaders, they are followers.
