I am halfway through a project that requires pintucks and I've stopped because the pintucks are intimidating me - thank you for making them so easy :)

I was struggling with looking at tutorials on different websites-- they all made the process seem very complicated. You explain it in a way that is trivial to understand and very simple!!! Thank you so much!!!!

I love putting pin tucks into clothing. I added them to one of my late husbads shirts to give a more fitted waist. I still wear it 10 years later.

Thank you so much for showing this! I'm attempting a chemise that requires pintucks, but doing it by hand. Can you pin or baste the tucks in place after ironing them, so they don't move around as you sew? Hand sewing is much slower than machine, and I don't want the tucks to come undone.
@albertoaisu Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I’m happy i could help!!Of course you can, although it will be a lot of work especially if you have a lot of pintucks! If you’re worried about them coming undone around the edges, maybe you could try a stay stitch?Like you would do around a collar to avoid stretching…Otherwise you could cut the same piece in tissue paper and baste stitch them together, it’s very helpful especially if you are working with silk or fine fabric!

can i do pin tucks on an already existing piece of clothing?
@albertoaisu Жыл бұрын
Yes you can! Just be mindful that they will obviously make it smaller, so it would be better to do on an oversized piece..

What kind of ruler is that? Where can I get one? Thank you.
@albertoaisu Жыл бұрын
That’s a pattern making ruler, there’s a lot of different types, you can find them online, I believe that specific one is called a pattern master!
