It’s true for acidic water based electrolyte. But for bases such as sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide it works very well. By the way l haven’t claimed that it is the best binder, l’ve just showed how to make it. That’s all😊

Your language is very aggressive! The gentleman is taking all his time to inform people like us who are trying to learn. We just need to encourage him to do what he is doing. Somebody less knowledgeable will use this information here to do more researches on his or her own and possibly come with something new to share with all of us! While it is true that PVA is not appropriate in aqueous electrolytes, you should propose what you know so that we can also learn! So I give a proposal of SBR/CMC, PVDF, PTFE so that we can learn.
