Wow, simple and easy! I just needed two pom poms for the baby hats I just finished crocheting, so I used the left over yarn. It was Bernat as well, but it was the cable cord blanket kind (fat, chunky, and solid). Even though my pom pom looked different from yours (should have used that yarn type lol), it still turned out relatively cute! I love it, thanks~

ok. thank you thank you thank you!!! I've been making pompoms for 50+ years, and 5 minutes? this took maybe 2. maybe. fantastic, and they're beautiful. I'm making my daughter the coolest polar bear hat, yeah, she's 30 and loves polar bears, and the ties called for icy blue pompoms. this is fantastic. I'm using Bernat Roving.

with a thinner yard used this method modified to replace replace the "toorie" (sort of like a small pom pom) on my Balmoral ( Scotsman's headgear for the uninitiated)

I made a different one last night, with the "c" loop thing you have to wrap it a round and it took 45 minutes because of making the circles and everything, and the difficult cutting. This literally took me five minutes

+Rose Aydin The piece of yarn that was used to tie around the yarn, that became the pom pom, is left dangling from the trimmed pom pom. If you want to attach it to a knit item you can use a large needle (darning needle) and thread the yarn on the needle, put that through the top of the hat and then repeat with the other piece of yarn, tie the two pieces of yarn together inside the hat (or whatever garment you are attaching it to). I hope this helped!
