Crosscutting like you're doing on 1:18 is a good recipe for kickback and ending up with a board in your face, or worse. The only thing saving you is that your motor is stalling because it is less powerful than the one on a regular table saw.

Any tool in which a 775 motor is used will never be a tool but rather a toy. Why? The 775 motor has a high speed but very, very little torque, so it was made with a weak motor. It is also a motor that was designed for continuous work of no more than 10 minutes because after that it would start to heat up and that working without load if any load is added to the shaft it will only work for around 5 minutes and then it will begin to rise in temperature until it burns, that is why due to its weak load capacity it is a motor that is used in toys such as drones small cars toy , etc.

Nice job, but I'm wondering what the rpm of the motor is and what that blade is rated for, I've seen some horrific injuries from grinding disks and was a little worried about the integrity of the blade mount.

While these littles saws are fun they have no Riving knife for safety and are subject to kickback, these can do as much damage to your fingers as a large table saw if not more as there are no safety features in any of them like the Riving knife, brakes, emergency stops etc. Just be bloody careful using one and always watch for kickback and use a push stick always.

Very nice! I'm planning on making one. Why did you chose 10 teeth pulley on the motor side, and 20 teeth pulley on the shaft size? Wouldn't that reduce the RPM by %50?? Would it be OK to put the same size of pulleys on both sides? And the cut on 7:40 doesn't look clean. What do you think the reason is? Is it the blade or is the shaft shimmy?

Could you please list an accurate shopping list for the parts? ie, 5mm not 8mm as asked about in some of the replies. What size timing belt, the bearing seat you used, etc.. (some of your links are dead) eBay seems to have a lot of the items but mainly geared for 3D printers, etc and so many very similar parts...

You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice kzbin.infoUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
