How to make PROXY'S | Adobe Illustrator

Finally! I got around to making this video. Time to share the "secrets" of Proxy making with the world!
Also this is PART 1, the second one will be the same just in Photoshop and at a later date (give it a month lol).

How to make proxies, the easier way: 1. learn japanese 2. print jp jpeg 3. use proxy 4. hate eng delay 5. move to jp vg since you can understand japanese

Nice tutorial, i think it will be better and faster to do it in indesign, as you can create easy template and it's more usefull for this kind of job.

Nice, just wondering what's the best kind of paper to print proxies with?

If you are sliding it in to a sleeve with a random card, as thin as possible, we literally just use normal paper

I use GIMP XD somewhat similar... How do you deal with page margins?, it makes the images smaller when you print them, not sure if this makes cense.

It does For me it comes down to selecting the option when printing to print “actual size” From my experience it usually come down to what kind of printer you have an the print settings, sometimes you’ll have a % for the size and if at 100% they print small then bump up the percentage until its the right size, it could take trial and error but to my knowledge that would be the only way

Not a bad idea, once i get the photoshop version done ill do that too Until then here is the quick secret, print the card on normal paper and slide it in a sleeve with a normal random card

Because i once saw old video of making proxy by using nail polish on foil card (to remove the ink) and print the card on sort of clear adhesive backwards so that you can just stick it to a polished card. Thus making it foiled proxy, which is kinda difficult in my opinion lol
