How can people ask for shorter tutorials from you? This is gold, you explain everything in detail very well. Thanks Marco for the great content and the support to beginners. Knowledge needs to be shared.

What about if I want to make that offbeat bassline? Like when the bass "glides" to the kick, like that phaxe/morten granau bass style? Can you make a tutorial on that? 🙂 Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷!

@marcleroux34264 жыл бұрын
that is offbeat bass with a lot of cut off and it has the glide bass note too as he shows in this video but in this case i think it was done with drawing the pitch bend automation to go down. maybe im wrong

I would be interested in a mixdown/ gainstaging tutorial ;D keep up the nice content!

I dont do gainstaging, it is just a theory, in practice i didnt get any resoults!
@chinguaga4 жыл бұрын
@@EClipChannel some times i hear some numbers in the internet. Like kick at -8db and then raise the baseline so that the kick and Base group end up at about -6db. Or somebody said make the snare 1db less loud then the kick . How load schould be leads compared to the baseline, or perkussion. I always do it by ear i wish there would be some kind of theory behind it that could be usefull ;D i guess it comes with experience ^^

@@chinguaga experience and taste.....if you stick to the same 'theories' and parameters all the time all your tracks will sound the same.....though in defence of that you will have a recognisable sound
@wavefunktion55624 жыл бұрын
Hey guys, even though i think E-clip is a master, these answers for your question just keeps it so mystic. Straight answer: Gain staging is about not letting your plugins clip, dont let levels go in the red, let plugins work at their optimal level -6db (often stated in the manual).
@BappinProductions4 жыл бұрын
Gainstaging is only important if you use any analog modelled plugins as they are typically optimised to sound best receiving a 0VU=-18bdfs signal. If you only use digital plugins, that are coded to respond linearly to incoming audio levels, they can be as hot or not, as you like. With respect to channel levels, I like to set my kick to a peak level of -12db and then everything else by ear, usually below, because the kick should be the loudest element in the track, ymmv.

Is it possible to change the shape of the glide? Thanks!
@EClipChannel4 жыл бұрын
What do you mean on by |the shape of the glide"? You mean on the curve?
@kickflip17994 жыл бұрын
@@EClipChannel yes, like change from a linear or exponential slide.
@EClipChannel4 жыл бұрын
@@kickflip1799 If you want to change the curve of the glide, the option is just there next to porta time (Curve). What is an exponential glide, I really don't know.

Hello E-Clip! How are you? I was trying to do an contrast at my track with this tutorial but when just legate are on I can't play 2 notes at same time... So my bass wasn't doing this "push" that your tutorial teach.

You cant play 2 at same time, that is what legato do, but play one, and than pesss another, and it will glide from first not to second
