Feel like you made that much more complicated than it needed to be. Much easier to just say for every inch up or down the pin is, you add or subtract 1 foot Your put was 15 ft and 7inches up. That means you put for 22ft. Simple.

This putting makes no sense if u have a putt that’s 14ft 7 in uphill you double it to 28?

If the hole is uphill, you need more force to get it there. He's saying as a rule of thumb, double the amount of elevation/switch to feet for an idea of how much you need to compensate in order to hit it with right amount of force. Otherwise, the putt would not have reached the hole

Use the exact opposite of the uphill strategy

Same exact idea: if we have a put that says downhill 8”, we double that for 16 and ensure we’re putting the ball 16 feet below the hole. Idk EA made this so complicated, but this technique has made the game way more playable for me
