Yes I use 3/4 inch for back feet and 1/2 inch for front feet. You don’t want them too big or they won’t look good. You want them as snug as possible.

Eh, I probably wouldn’t. I haven’t tried, but you’re probably better off with borax. I’m currently working on raccoon feet. What I did was inject the feet with formalin and soak them in the formalin for 1-2 weeks. Then, take it out of the formalin and put directly in distilled water for 24 hours. Then put it in a bucket of borax, or borax and salt, and let dry in there for a month or so. Mix it around every few days in the borax. This should mummify it. Be careful with formalin, it’s extremely toxic! Dispose of it at a toxic waste site.

Any thoughts or tips to get rid of the staining on the bottom of white feet? I found in my first batch the staining on the whites didn't really come out and I'm not sure what to use for it

For the white feet, it will stay a little brown on the bottom, there’s not much you can do about that, but no one has ever complained about that. I’m pretty sure it’s natural for the white feet to have darker color on the bottom. I thought it was stained too at first, but there’s nothing wrong with it.

Nice video. I know borax ist used to preserve against insects or other pests. What is the alcohol used for? Isn't it enough just to wash and dry them? Looking forward for more videos. All the best for you and your family!

It gets rid of bacteria and everything. I wouldn’t skip this step. I use this process for all of them and I haven’t had any issues with them smelling bad. It just helps in the preservation.
