How to make Ready to Use syrup from Flavor Concentrate

How do you make Ready to Use syrup from our Flavor Concentrate?
Read below for instructions!
INGREDIENTS and SUPPLIES:
🌈 Approximately half gallon reverse osmosis, distilled or filtered water.
🌈 5 pounds of pure cane sugar
🌈 4 ounces (sample size) of Flavor Concentrate
🌈 Gallon jug
🌈 Slotted spoon
DIRECTIONS:
Pour half gallon of reverse osmosis, distilled or filtered water into gallon container.
Stir the water with slotted spoon.
Add 5 pounds of pure cane sugar.
Keep stirring water.
Add 4 ounce Flavor Concentrate.
Keep stirring water.
Top off with water to gallon mark on container.
Stir to mix completely.
Pour syrup into serving container of your choice, such as a quart bottle with speed pourer top for ease of pouring.
Pour over ice or beverage.
Use one ounce of Ready to Use syrup for each 6 ounces of ice.

Can this ready to use syrup mixture also be used in batch freezers when making something like italian ice or sorbets? Or is that a different kind of flavoring base than this?

what is the shelf ife on this syrup? how do you store the rest you didnt use and how long is the extra syrup good for ? thank you

So, sorry for the late reply. The "shelf life" for the mixture, in the video, would be about 1 to 2 weeks, as no preservatives were added to the Sugar Water. The temperature the Syrup is stored in will determine how long between the 1 to 2 week expire. The cooler the environment, up to refrigeration, the longer period of time and the warmer the less period of time before fermentation gets to the point that the Syrup is no longer consumable. Problem with the way you made it, it will last only 1-2 weeks. If you made the simple syrup & added 11 oz of Benzoate soda & 1/4 oz of Fruit acid then it will last you in that gallon 1 year for it to stay good.

You said “a half gallon of water to 5 lbs. of sugar”? That is 10 lbs. of sugar per gallon? Please let me know if that was correct or if I mis-heard you. Thank you.

Hello, the directions above mention to add water at the end to the Gallon mark with water. Sugar takes up volume in the container. It is not 10lbs of sugar per Gallon container, it is only 5lbs in a Gallon container, filling it with water, stirring, filling again until the liquid rests at the Gallon mark. Hope this makes more sense. Thank you for checking as it is important to get it correct.
