Great! You answered my concerns about how to create hollow stems. Did you know that Cernit now has a line of colored translucent clay!

I did not know! In the end, I think I do prefer Sculpey. I don't know if I'm just used to it from working with it for so long... I did find the Cernit would get a bit sticky...

It’s your earrings that caught my eye. Did you make those as well? I must try that!
@janesawyermakes18 күн бұрын
Yes! Hollow stems make them lighter, which is easier on the lobes 😊

@ Thanks! I’ll get right on that….as soon as I finish my gingerbread house earrings. Not going so well hahaha! They make it look so easy .

Those are so freaking cool, Jane!!!! Had no idea polymer came translucent. Also didn’t know you could mix the clay with the glue to make a clay “paint,” so that’s a pretty hot tip. ❤❤

The clay "paint" looks so much better than actually paint with the lights!I love this little trick! 😁

I wonder if a tiny bit of glow in the dark paint on the skirts would show up. 🤔 i think it would be cute if they had a faint glow on them after you turn off their lights.

Great job! I may have to have a go myself. It's been a while since I made any mushrooms and I have a hollow tube attachment for my extruder......you've given me ideas! ❤❤

Did the red paste ruin that tool or how did you remove it, isopropyl alcohol or dip in water?
@janesawyermakes7 ай бұрын
I just wipe it off tools with a paper towel. You're right, isopropyl alcohol will help! The latex sponges are unfortunately one-time use.
